The Porsche 928 came out in 1977, this front-engined GT with a specific V8 engine was to supplant the Porsche 911 at the top of the range. After a promising start, and various variants from 1980 onwards, a more powerful S version - 300 hp instead of 240 - then an S2 in 1984 (310 hp), an S4 in 1987 (320 hp) and its rare CS variant - for Club Sport (lighter version) and finally a GT pushed to 330 hp in 1989, the philosophy of front-engined Porsches ran out of steam.
In order to relaunch the model one last time, Porsche presented in 1992 its ultimate evolution, the 928 GTS, the one we present today: a car that will remain commercially anecdotal, but which proves to be one of the most sought-after today with less than 3500 examples manufactured.
With the GTS, the GT's 32-valve V8 was increased from 5 to 5.4 litres (51 mkg at 4,250 rpm) and gained 20 horsepower to peak at 350: 30 more than a 911 Turbo. The 928 GTS was a real performer: 275 km/h top speed (5 km/h better than a 911 Turbo, and only 5 km/h less than a 911 Turbo S).
This long career led to the car only leaving the Stuttgart-based manufacturer's programme in 1995, 18 years after its entry into the catalogue.

The car presented in this catalogue benefits from a complete follow-up file and all its invoices since it left the factory. An impressive file will be available for viewing on request during the show. All owners and revisions are known and up to date. It presents itself in superb condition and our road test found no fault with it. The combination of the dark grey metallic paint and the Bordeaux leather is particularly relevant.
The car is equipped with alloy wheels, automatic gearbox, original sliding sunroof, full leather interior, air conditioning, electric seats... the list goes on.
Recent, rather rare, with the biggest and most powerful engine of its lineage and four seats, this example, which has few kilometers (125,000km), has become particularly sought after and will please young dads in a hurry or grandfathers looking for comfort and sportiness.
