Description
Introduced in 1967, the 911 T, with the “T” standing for “Touring”, expanded the 911 range with an entry-level version. Available in several body styles, the Targa version is one of the most sought-after, notably thanks to its distinctive design featuring the iconic aluminium roll bar. Originally powered by a 2.0-litre flat-six engine developing 110 horsepower, it offers a sporty and authentic character while retaining a remarkably light weight. Its handling and driving pleasure make the 911 T a particularly appealing version of the first generation of the 911.
The example we are presenting today is a Porsche 911 T Targa, delivered to Porsche of America in January 1969 and showing just under 70,000 km on the odometer. This Porsche 911 Targa features the rare “Blutorange” colour, a striking and vibrant shade emblematic of the 1970s. It is complemented by a vinyl interior and a black Targa roof.
The car underwent a restoration many years ago and is currently running and driveable. However, it requires further work, both cosmetically and mechanically, in order to return it to a very good overall condition. It is fitted with a 2.4-litre engine from a 1973 911 T, developing 130 horsepower.
This Porsche 911 T Targa therefore represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiast looking for a car with a rare and exotic specification, while offering an excellent basis for a complete recommissioning and restoration.
The vehicle is available to view by appointment, either at our showroom or through a virtual presentation. A detailed presentation video and a digital version of the vehicle file are available upon request and will be provided with pleasure.
