The 993-generation 911 Turbo marked Porsche's first use of twin turbochargers on its 3.6-liter flat-six, producing 408 PS for the 1996 model year-an incredible 48 PS more than the outgoing Turbo 3.6. It was also the first 911 Turbo to feature all-wheel drive. With its distinctive vented front bumper, wide rear fenders, and body-colored rear spoiler, this Turbo had an unmistakable presence, and, as the final air-cooled generation, a special place in Porsche history.

Ordered for the U.S. market, this 1996 model year 911 Turbo is finished in Schwarz, complemented by a Black full leather interior and red Brembo brake calipers. Its specification is befitting both its standing and its distinctly Germanic reputation, with a host of thoughtful standard appointments including electrically adjustable comfort front seats, cruise control, automatic limited-slip differential, air conditioning, an electric sunroof, power windows, headlamp washers, and a rear window wiper. So well appointed was the 911 Turbo that a single optional selection made at the time of ordering: a set of color-crested center caps.

One of the earliest 993-generation 911 Turbos in the United States, it was sold on 12 May 1995 via Pray Porsche in Greenwich, Connecticut. Shortly thereafter the car was exported from New York to Germany that month and the car was first registered there in June 1995. Its history is extensively documented from new by a copy of the original order sheet, the original books in their leather pouch, including its stamped service book, and maintenance records spanning almost two decades, attesting to the car having been meticulously maintained and regularly serviced, predominantly by Porsche, as well as by Porsche specialists in Germany.

The current owner acquired the car in 2008, in Germany, before relocating to Serbia, where the car was subsequently maintained primarily by Porsche Belgrade, and specialists of the marque. The car is currently fitted with a set of reproduction Turbo Twist-style wheels while its original hollow-spoke Hohlspeichen wheels, fitted with winter tires, are also included in the sale. Also included are two keys, the original tool roll and jack, and the original U.S.-market Porsche CR-1 radio.

With just 3,527 miles recorded in 2001, the car was fitted with a new odometer in kilometers at Porsche Zentrum Olympiapark in Munich, starting at zero, bringing its total original mileage to approximately 120,000 km. With its continuous documented history, matching numbers status, low owner count, extensive service records, and striking visual presence, this 911 Turbo stands as a particularly compelling example of an already highly sought-after model-an opportunity ideally suited to anyone seeking to own the last air-cooled Porsche Turbo.
