Description

1937 Packard One-Twenty Convertible Sedan

This 1937 Packard One-Twenty Convertible Sedan is just out of a large estate collection where it's been under the same ownership for the last 25 years. Black with black interior. It requires mechanical recommissioning as well as minor cosmetics at this time. Not currently running as it has been off the road for the last 5 years or so. A straight, solid, and original example with a lot of potential. With a little effort it could easily be turned into a presentable weekend driver.

Introduced in 1935, the Packard One-Twenty had an all news body as well as a new straight eight. The One-Twenty pioneered two new features that were not yet seen on senior Packards: independent front suspension and hydraulic brakes. Popularity was immediate. Nearly 25,000 were sold in the first year, more than three times the volume of all other Packards combined. This one model ensured the survival of the company. The 1937 model year would prove even better, with more than 50,000 sold. At the top of the One-Twenty line were two long-wheelbase seven-passenger models. Next most prestigious and most expensive of the 120-inch wheelbase cars was the style number 1097, the Convertible Sedan being offered here.

Just out of a large estate collection

Out of 25 year ownership

Requires basic recommissioning

Out of static storage, not currently running

An extremely collectible and highly sought-after Packard

Price:$39,500
