Description

1969 MG C GT
Chassis: GCD15997G
Collection French Grey Card
• Rare model
• Timeless charm
Presented at the London Motor Show in 1967, the MGC represents an ambitious evolution of the famous MGB. With its 2.9-litre six-cylinder in-line engine developing 145 horsepower, it is aimed at a clientele looking for increased performance and more road driving pleasure. This engine, from the Austin-Healey block, allowed the MGC to reach almost 200 km/h, while offering a generous torque and nice flexibility.
Aesthetically very close to the MGB, the MGC is however distinguished by some revealing details: bonnet bosses to accommodate the more imposing engine, widened tracks, and revised front suspension with torsion bars. The GT coupe, designed by Pininfarina, seduces with its elegant fastback line and excellent versatility, making it a true GT of great tourism.
The specimen proposed here is a 1969 MGC GT. With a French grey card of collection, it has been regularly maintained in recent years, including the repair of the differential in 2022 and that of the heating circuit in 2019.
Arriving by road from Paris, this MGC GT works properly. Produced in about 4,500 copies in a coupe version, it is a rare opportunity for lovers of classic English sports cars, combining timeless line and noble mechanics.
