Completed on the 11th of May 1955, and destined for New York, this 300SL was specified in DB 608/180 “Ivory” paint finish, over 333/953 dark blue leather interior, and a black luggage set.
Having been delivered to its first owner, a Mr Frank Spring of California, it then went through several owners, but always remained in the Golden State until 2019.
During the late 1990’s, it was modified from its original specification to Silver metallic over a black leather interior. However, under the ownership of A. Levine of Maroon 5 fame, the interior was reupholstered in its original blue finish.
Having made its way to Switzerland in 2019, this car represents a great opportunity to purchase a beautiful, highly original, and numbers matching 300 SL which spent nearly its entire life in the car friendly climate of California.
