Vehicle history:

The Emil Englisch family ordered this vehicle from Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart on October 14, 1936. A Mercedes-Benz 8/38 hp Stuttgart 200, built in 1930, was accepted as payment for the 170 V. The original price at that time was 5,980, - DM. In March 1937 the convertible was registered to Emil English in the Stuttgart showcase avenue, the Königsstrasse. It is one of the first vehicles of this type ever to be produced and delivered. From 1979 to 2008 in Los Altos, California, USA the Mercedes has been in the USA, where the car was restored by the owner for 13 years in total. In 2008 the Cabriolet was imported to the Netherlands, where it was completely restored by Classic Car Venlo. The 170 V was then presented at many classic car events, such as "The Jewel - Thats's Europe IV" in Monaco. It received many prizes and awards at various other events. Today the extremely rare convertible is in a unique condition and is fully operational.

Die Familie Emil Englisch bestellte das Fahrzeug am 14.10.1936 bei Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart. Ein Mercedes-Benz 8/38 PS Typ Stuttgart 200, Baujahr 1930 wurde für den 170 V in Zahlung genommen. Der damalige Neupreis betrug 5.980,- DM. Im März 1937 wurde das Cabriolet in der Stuttgarter Vorzeige Allee, der Königsstrasse, auf Emil Englisch zugelassen. Es ist eines der ersten überhaupt produzierten und ausgelieferten Fahrzeugen dieses Typs. Von 1979 bis 2008 in Los Altos, California, USA war der Mercedes in den USA. Dort wurde der Wagen vom damalige Besitzer 13 Jahre lang restauriert. 2008 wurde das Cabriolet nach Holland importiert, wo es vom Classic Car Venlo nochmal komplett restauriert wurde. Im Anschluss wurde der 170 V auf vielen Oldtimer Veranstaltungen präsentiert, wie z.B. „The Jewel - Thats's Europe IV“ in Monaco. Er erhielt viele Preise und Auszeichnungen bei diversen weiteren Events. Heute befindet sich das äußerst seltene Cabriolet in einem einmaligen Zustand und ist voll einsatzbereit.
