History

Sold new by Trident Imported Motors in Roesmont, PA

Sold to New to Geneva Smitherman now a promiment professor/activist in Detroit, MI

In the last 1970's it was sold to collector Jerry Wood who lived in Michigan and later moved to Texas.

Jerry Wood is a well-known Italian car collector specializing in Alfa Romeo's, Ferrari, and Maserati. He oversaw a multiyear restoration in the late 80's early 90's and kept the car until 2021. The car was painted by known restorer Joe Pizcazzi, of American Auto Body in Akron, Ohio. While in restoration Woods sourced an original factory hardtop which still adorns the car today. It has never been publicly sold or offered and to this date is not in the Ghibli register. Jerry Woods owned it 40+ years. We acquired it to a dealer/broker friend who purchased it from Woods. During our service and detailing we found the body number "189" stamped on the inner door jambs, fuel lids, and some of the hardware.
