The Maserati Biturbo was a series of upper-mid-range passenger cars produced by the Italian car manufacturer Maserati between 1981 and 1994.

When Maserati was acquired by De Tomaso in 1976, the latter had ambitious plans for the brand: Maserati intended to launch an affordable sports car to replace the more expensive GT models, such as the Maserati Bora and the Maserati Khamsin, both of which were developed when Maserati was still owned by Citroën.

By using a small turbo engine, Maserati was able to deliver considerable power at a relatively low price in the upper-mid-range segment. The engine occupied relatively little space under the hood, making the Biturbo a compact car.

Between 1987 and 1989, a facelift was implemented, giving the original angular design more curves. Mechanically, various improvements were also made to the suspension and power steering, and the cars were equipped with ventilated disc brakes at the front.

In 1991, the Biturbo series received a second facelift featuring, among other things, new headlights and aerodynamic improvements such as a rear spoiler and a spoiler at the bottom of the windshield that shielded the wipers from the wind.

The Maserati presented here is a car produced in 1987 that was destined for the USA. The car has driven only 17,700 miles there and looks like an almost new Maserati with a 2.5-liter engine. It still has the beautiful square headlights and the original rims. Furthermore, the interior is still stunning. The engine runs fantastically, as do the brakes, power steering, and gearbox. Naturally, it features the original two-point clock. The car sits on nearly new Verdestein Giugiaro tires. This is a beautiful Italian beauty for the true Maserati enthusiast.

This vehicle has Dutch registration.
