Description
This Lister Knobbly started life in 2012 when Mark Davies of Jacob Engineering decided to make an exacting replica of the original Briggs Cunningham Knobbly (BHL EE101) which he had in his workshop. He used this time to carefully measure and draw every part of the car to ensure that his recreation would be exacting.
The engine is to the correct specification with D-type wide angle head, DCO3 45 Webbers and Crosthwaite & Gardiner internals which gives a comfortable 340 BHP.
The gearbox is also the correct D-type unit, again with updated internals that deliver a precise and fast change.
This is the car that was driven by our Managing Director Daniel at this year’s Silverstone classic, which despite a DNF due to a sump oil leak, managed to go from 9th on the grid to 3rd before retiring. Video is available on YouTube.
The car has now been fully prepared following it’s Silverstone outing and is ready to go racing once again.
