Description
Estimated Price: £18,000 - £22,000
- Ordered in 1963 by an Italian soldier, Cavaliere Giulio Massarotti, who founded a company locating and destroying WWII ordinance
- Supplied by Farnell Ltd and converted including a Fairey winch, free wheeling hubs and a custom interior which converts - camper style - into a bed for long journeys
- The specification included the nautical porthole for 'observing explosions', as one does
- Purchased by a Swiss lady before coming to the UK for restoration which included a new Richards chassis and Ultra bulkhead
- After considerable expenditure and a road test, it was invited to Goodwood this year as a Goodwood Revival Transport Corps taxi, causing considerable interest
- Complete with Heritage Certificate, tax and MOT exempt and ULEZ compliant. Fresh MoT prior to the sale
- With such a fascinating backstory, this lovely Land Rover is deserving of a Goodwood encore for 2027
