The Fosse Way Collection comprises nine rare and eclectic motor cars, thoughtfully chosen and carefully maintained by a respected private collector, and each now offered with considerable recent investment.
The Land Rover Defender 90 Adventure Edition represents one of the final chapters in the story of this much-loved British motoring icon. One of just 600 examples built, the Adventure Edition was introduced towards the end of Defender production, combining the model’s unmistakable character and rugged capability with a distinctive appearance and enhanced factory specification.
First registered in 2016, this particularly striking example is finished in gleaming metallic Phoenix Orange, complemented by the Santorini Black Pack, which gives the Defender its distinctive contrasting appearance. With just 4,283 miles recorded, it represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the very last traditional Defenders produced at Solihull.
Powered by Land Rover’s 2.2-litre TDCi diesel engine producing 150bhp, the Defender 90 retains the rugged mechanical character for which the model is celebrated. Its four-wheel-drive system, high-and low-range gearing, locking centre differential and traction control provide the capability to tackle challenging terrain while remaining equally at home on the road.
The Adventure Edition was distinguished by a range of dedicated exterior enhancements, including limited-edition 16-inch dual-finish alloy wheels, Goodyear Wrangler MT/R all-terrain tyres, Adventure mud flaps, a roof rack and rear ladder. Aluminium underbody protection, including guards for the front differential and steering components, further emphasised its purposeful design, while the Santorini Black detailing provided a striking contrast to the vibrant body colour.
The special-edition theme continued inside, with a premium leather-trimmed cabin featuring Adventure front seats and a four-seat layout, including two forward-facing seats in the rear load space. Equipment associated with the model included air conditioning, heated front seats, heated front and rear screens, an Alpine audio system with Bluetooth, black Alcantara headlining, aluminium interior detailing and premium carpeting. Together, these features gave the Adventure Edition a more luxurious feel while retaining the Defender’s unmistakably utilitarian character.
Purchased by its current owner in 2022, this example has covered only around 200 miles since, bringing the indicated mileage to just 4,283. It has had two previous owners and has previously been serviced by both Land Rover main dealers and marque specialists. A fresh MOT was completed recently, with the certificate valid until 4th October 2027.
The full specification of this exceptionally low-mileage example is available upon request.
With its distinctive Phoenix Orange finish, desirable Adventure Edition identity and exceptionally low indicated mileage, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the final-production Defender 90s. Equally appealing as a treasured addition to a collection or as a characterful vehicle to use and enjoy, it offers a compelling combination of rarity, heritage and unmistakable Defender charm.
