Rover's chief designer Maurice Wilks began designing a capable off-road vehicle for the British brand in 1947, using military vehicles used by the US Army as a model. The first Land Rover with an 80-inch wheelbase was introduced at the Amsterdam Motor Show in 1948 and the world’s most capable off-road vehicle was produced with thoughtful updates until 2016.

This Indus Silver-toned specimen with a black roof is an original short-wheelbase Land Rover Defender 90. The well-equipped 4-seater Station Wagon was sold new near the Swiss border in Germany from the official Land Rover importer in Stockach and was registered on 25.04.2013. The engine is a 2.2-liter Td4 “Puma” and the transmission is a 6-speed manual. Factory equipment includes air conditioning, heated windscreen and rear window, electric windows and central locking with remote control. The car has an integrated parking camera and cruise control.

The original Land Rover 60th anniversary model wheels have been fitted with new AT all season tires in the original 235/85/16 size.

The chassis is protected from rust and the body soundproofed. The lights have been renewed with LED lights and the light surroundings and front grille have been renewed. Body has been protected with Rock & tree sliders and rear corner guards.

The history of the car, which has only been driven 77 thousand kilometers, is known. The original instruction manuals and service book are preserved, and the car has been serviced regularly. In addition to regular maintenance, the clutch and the turbo boost pipe have recently been renewed.

The last regular maintenance was carried out at 74,000 km / summer 2025, when the engine oils and rear brake pads were renewed. A major B-maintenance was carried out at Autocenter Land Rover service at 64,000 km, when the engine and all transmission oils were renewed.
