Known affectionately as the “Fanalone” (Italian for “big light”) due to its distinctive front fascia featuring large fog lamps, this model incorporates aluminum doors, a hood, and a trunk lid to reduce weight. Powered by a 1,584cc narrow-angle V4 engine, it delivers a maximum output of 115 ps. As an exceptionally high-performance front-wheel-drive sports coupe for its time, it built a brilliant track record on the global rally circuit. Its overall victory at the 1972 Monte Carlo Rally is recognized as a pivotal chapter in Lancia’s racing history. The Fanalone featured here is an extremely rare dealer-sold vehicle. It was sold by Kokusai Jidosha Shoji, an authorized dealer at the time. It is said that only two Fanalones were imported through official channels.

It is unclear when the battery was moved to the trunk, but the current owner states it was already in this configuration when he acquired the car.

While the interior, being original, shows some wear on the wood paneling, the body is in excellent shape, and both the engine and transmission have been overhauled 2years ago.
