Description
1971 LANCIA FLAVIA
Chassis: 004438
- Designed by Pininfarina
- The last Lancia before the Fiat takeover
- An original alternative to Alfa Romeo coupes
- Original technical solutions
Unveiled at the 1969 Geneva Motor Show, the Lancia Flavia 2000 succeeded the Pininfarina-designed coupes and carried on the legacy of the Italian brand’s golden age prior to its acquisition by Fiat. Elegantly designed, it combines taut lines with a refined interior, typical of the great tradition of Italian grand touring. Technically, it retains the distinctive architecture of the Flavia family, featuring a front-mounted flat-four (boxer) engine combined with front-wheel drive, which provides safe and balanced handling. In its 2000 carburetor-equipped version, the engine produces 115 chevaux, offering smooth acceleration and a very refined driving experience.
The vehicle shown here was delivered new in Belgium in November 1971, where it spent most of its life before being imported to France in 2023. Maintained ever since by the Etoile Services garage in Sauvigny-les-Bois, a major mechanical overhaul was performed in February 2026, which included removing the engine, replacing the valve guides, and inspecting the components. This work is documented by an invoice and a photo album.
A test drive of about ten kilometers revealed a pleasant car, true to Lancia’s tradition of combining comfort and performance.

Technically, it retains the distinctive architecture of the Flavia range, based on a front-mounted flat-four (boxer) engine, coupled with front-wheel drive, which provides safe and balanced handling. In its 2000 carburetor version, the engine produces 115 chevaux, offering smooth acceleration and a very refined driving experience.
