This Lamborghini Murcielago is a stunning example of the marque’s flagship supercar of the 2000s. It is powered by a glorious naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V12 engine, coupled in this case to the sought-after six-speed open-gate manual transmission. The odometer indicates 59.502 km.

First registered in May 2002, and finished in striking Giallo Orion, this Murcielago benefits from a well-documented service history and has been in the care of the vendor for the past year.

The bodywork and paint on this Murcielago are reported to be in great shape, and the vendor states that the front bumper has previously been repainted to rectify the usual minor marks and chips from road use. Since then, it has accumulated a few more small stone chips around the front, and a light dusting of chips around the side skirts, though this is to be expected from a high-performance supercar. The 20-inch wheels are an aftermarket set, and they present in very good order.

The interior is in very good condition and is all original, barring the upgraded Pioneer stereo. The leather seats are showing some minor signs of wear to the outer bolsters, though the material is free from any rips, tears or major scuffs. The front luggage compartment is also in excellent order and houses the original Lamborghini tool roll, along with an external DLS amplifier that has been wired into the sound system. There are no warning lights or other faults to the best of the vendor’s knowledge.

The most recent service took place at 59,500 km and was carried out by Classic and Sports Cars in the Zlin region of Czech Republic. This was a standard service with an engine oil and filter change. Prior to this, the car was serviced in 2014 at 54,000 km and a new clutch was put in at 38,000 km. The Lamborghini service record is stamped and there are numerous invoices pertaining to work carried out on the vehicle. The engine bay itself presents well, with the carbon-fibre covers appearing to be free from damage.

The latest Czech MOT roadworthiness inspection was carried out on 16 November 2020 and resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. All four tyres are in good condition, but are now around 10 years old. Accompanying the vehicle is the Lamborghini tool kit, service records, handbooks, invoices and the tyre inflation kit.

A contemporary ‘poster car’ for many younger collectors, the Lamborghini Murcielago still draws a crowd wherever it goes, especially when finished in striking Giallo Orion. Equipped with the desirable open-gate manual transmission, this is an involving modern supercar that would make a fine addition to any collection of performance heroes.
