Description
- One of just 215 cars made in the final year of Diablo production
- 6.0-litre V-12 engine mated to a five-speed gated manual transmission
- Delivered new to Switzerland; exported to Sweden in 2006 and acquired by the consigning owner in 2007
The Diablo holds a special place in the upper echelons of coveted modern Lamborghinis. Among the most prized models is the VT 6.0, produced from 1999 onwards after ownership of the Italian brand had transferred to the Volkswagen Group.
Developed under the watchful eye of Audi, the four-wheel-drive VT 6.0 quickly established itself as one of the fastest, most desirable supercars of its era. Its 6.0-litre V-12 engine gained larger displacement compared to earlier iterations of the Diablo, and lay at the heart of the car’s appeal. In facelifted guises the Diablo delivers 550 horsepower and 630 Newton-metres of torque for sensational performance, as evidenced by its 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds and top speed of 338 km/h.
This is accompanied by the visual drama expected of a Diablo, with the example offered for sale finished in Arancio Ishtar over a black leather interior with orange piping. Delivered new to Niederlenz, Switzerland, by Garage Roland Affolter, the Lamborghini has been owned by the consigning owner since 2007, having been brought into Sweden in 2006. The Diablo comes with an array of documentation including servicing records and invoices, plus the original logbook that details regular maintenance in Switzerland under a previous owner. At the time of cataloguing, the odometer read 69,503 kilometers.
With just over 330 Diablo VT 6.0 models ever made, interest in this true Lamborghini icon is sure to be high.
