Description
Daytona Automobil presents a 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0, finished in Giallo over Nero leather with Giallo contrast stitching and piping. Delivered new on March 13, 2001, to the European market, this car remains in excellent condition and has covered 98,644 km to date. It stands out as a true driver’s car with complete history and exceptional maintenance, offering a rare opportunity to own the final and most refined version of the iconic Diablo.
This example has been serviced 26 times since new — an extraordinary record for any supercar of this era — with all maintenance performed either by authorized Lamborghini dealers or recognized Lamborghini specialists. Most recently, the car underwent a full mechanical overhaul by a specialist in Sweden to ensure it is fully prepared for its next owner.
The Diablo VT 6.0 was the final iteration of the Diablo and represents the last of Lamborghini’s hand-built V12 flagships before the introduction of the Murciélago. Redesigned under Audi’s ownership by Luc Donckerwolke, the 6.0 VT featured smoother, more integrated styling with fixed headlights, reworked air intakes, and improved aerodynamics. The interior was redesigned for better ergonomics, and extensive use of carbon fiber gave the car a more modern feel while preserving its exotic charm.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 550 hp at 7,100 rpm, the Diablo VT 6.0 delivers raw power through a five-speed manual gearbox. The engine was derived from the Diablo GT, but refined for the road. This car is fitted with an aftermarket exhaust system that dramatically enhances the V12 sound at high RPM, giving it the soundtrack it always deserved. The factory system is quiet by comparison, and the current setup offers a far more engaging aural experience.
The car is signed by Lamborghini’s long-time test driver Valentino Balboni and comes with its original pouch, manuals, service book, two keys, and complete documentation. This example is VAT-deductible and can be sold netto for eligible export buyers, making it especially interesting for export markets, including the United States.
