Description

Introduced as the successor to the Agera, the Koenigsegg Jesko made its debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and was received with such acclaim, it completely sold out before the show ended. Named in tribute to to the company founder and CEO’s father, Jesko von Koenigsegg, the limited-production, mid-engine sports car is available in two variations – ‘Absolut’ (top speed) and ‘Attack’ (track-focused).

The latter redefines what’s possible on track. A groundbreaking masterpiece, the Jesko Attack stands as testament to the Swedish manufacturer’s commitment to pushing the limits of performance, technology, and craftsmanship. The land rocket features carbon bodywork, a carbon tub, hollow carbon wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes clamped by in-house designed calipers, and an interior equipped with a full suite of creature comforts and a level of convenience more befitting a grand tourer than your typical track weapon. The Jesko Attack features Koenigsegg’s dihedral synchro-helix doors, which now open slightly outwards and upwards compared to the original design, creating more space for two than any Koenigsegg that has gone before. Step inside, and you are welcomed by an interior swathed in luxury materials such as Alcantara, carbon fiber, aluminum, and glass. The sport bucket seats are built around a carbon-fiber seat shell, resulting in a seat that is both extremely light and comfortable. Koenigsegg developed driver controls using touchscreen technology built into both the new SmartCenter and SmartWheel. SmartWheel sees two small touchscreen embedded into the Jesko’s steering wheel, making a suite of features accessible with just a touch or swipe. The Jesko also features a racing-inspired and very compact SmartCluster infotainment screen, mounted directly behind the steering wheel, turning as the steering wheel turns.

Under the Crystal White Pearl exterior lies a redesigned 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine – a marvel capable of producing 1,280 hp on standard gasoline, and with the available software upgrade, an eye-watering 1,600 hp on E85 biofuel. Koenigsegg initially chose a proprietary air injection system for the Jesko Attack, that livened up the turbos instantly to reduce lag, however, it was scrapped when they decided turbo response was plenty sharp enough.

And the engine isn’t even the most impressive bit – that award goes to the revolutionary nine-speed Koenigsegg Light Speed Transmission (LST) system. The LST comprises nine forward gears and several wet, multi-disc clutches in a compact, ultra-light package. The LST is capable of executing lightning-fast gear changes with virtually no interruption in power delivery. Not only can you jump from one gear to any of the others, but it is also smaller and two-thirds the weight of a comparable double-clutcher, plus it means the engine doesn’t need a flywheel, hence its appetite for revving like a superbike. One blip of the throttle in neutral, it smashes into the limiter then plummets back down to idle – something that has to be seen to be believed.

But the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack isn’t just about raw power; it’s about control. Its aerodynamics are a blend of art and science, featuring a dynamic rear wing, enlarged front splitter, and underbody flaps that collectively generate up to 3,086 pounds (1,400 kg) of downforce. The signature, airplane-line wrap-around windscreen stays intact, albeit improved for visibility. The wrap-around windscreen has always played a crucial role in the aerodynamic performance of Koenigsegg cars, as no other windscreen solution can offer the same drag efficiency and high-speed stability. It also features upper body lift and delivers high-quality airflow to the rear wing.

This 2023 Koenigsegg Jesko Attack is finished in Crystal White Pearl over a Black and Anthracite Alcantara interior. The Jesko Attack features a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 1,280 hp, with power sent to the rear wheels via a nine-speed transmission.
