Description
CKL are thrilled to offer this 1960 Jaguar XK150 S RHD, 1 of 69 cars built.
Finished in British Racing Green with Suede Green Vaumol Hide.
Recently restored with no expense spared with over £160,000 spent on the restoration.
At launch in 1957, the XK150 would be the final model of the XK series and would see a host of upgrades over its predecessors. Boasting all-round disc brakes, it provided the edge over most available production cars of the time. While the highly successful 3.4 litre Jaguar straight six engine provided ample power and proved to be a worthy powerhouse, Jaguar would install the 3.8 litre straight six in 1960. The newly installed 3.8 litre would launch the XK150 to the top of the class with 220 bhp, however, Jaguar didn’t stop there. A second option, the “S” variant was available and with further tuning providing 265 horses under the bonnet and a top speed of 135 mph. Only 69 of these “S” variants were ever built as right-hand drive dropheads, therefore, the XK150S has become a highly desirable and very usable classic in today’s world.
