Description
The XK140 is the rarest and most sought after model of the Jaguar XK range. It combines the stylish coachwork of the XK120 with the technically more advanced chassis set up of the later XK150. These more refined XK140's have rack and pinion steering, which results in more precise steering and a much more comfortable driving position. Only 2789 examples of the XK140 Drophead Coupé were build, so it is quite a rare car as well.
This particular example is completely restored at the end of the nineties, and still looks in great condition. Paint quality is really good, the interior is beautifully trimmed in contrasting dark blue hide, and the mohair hood fits perfectly. The matching nrs engine has the C-Type head from new, and offers great performance. The original Moss 4-speed gearbox is still fitted, and shifts well and unusually easy. For additional driving comfort, the XK140 is fitted with an EZ electrical power steering. The car sits on beautiful wire wheels with stainless steel spokes, and fitted with period correct Michelin Radial X tyres.
It's a car which ticks all the right boxes : matching nrs, rare drophead version and a gorgeous colour combination. A test drive will only confirm the quality of this beautiful Jaguar.
