This beautiful car is number 12 out of the 50 limited edition Commemorative V12 E-Types specifically manufactured to acknowledge total cessation of the model's production in 1974.49 cars were painted black and one green, all being Roadsters with the interiors trimmed in Cinnamon leather and carpeting.The vehicles were right hand drive irrespective of final territorial destination. Thirty cars had manual gearboxes, of which this car is one, and the remainder were fitted with automatic transmissions.Each car is complimented with a brass identification plaque signed by Sir William Lyons, then-Chairman of Jaguar, and affixed to the glovebox lid.This matching number car's identification number is 2834 and its authenticity is confirmed by a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.The last and fourth owner from new acquired the car in 2019, at which point the car was immediately and completely dismantled and a '100-point' restoration undertaken. There is a detailed substantial photographic record of the four-year restoration and in addition, a copious comprehensive history file dating back to its initial manufacture.
