The OT 1300/124 Coupe was created by Carlo Abarth and Mario Colucci by transplanting a then-current Fiat 124 engine into the body of a Fiat 850 coupe. In the process the engine capacity was raised from 1197cc to 1280cc. The new coupe aroused considerable interest at the 1966 Turin Motor Show when it was revealed to the public.
This particular coupe has been improved by the installation of a race prepared, dry sump, FIAT 124 TC engine with twin Weber carburettors and a 4 speed transmission. The fuel tank and radiator have been moved to the front of the car to improve cooling and weight distribution. 13” Campagnolo mag wheels enhance the stylish appearance of the little coupe while stopping is admirably performed by disc brakes.
