Description

Ferrari F355 F1 ‘Fiorano’ Spider – 1 of 100

The Ferarri F355 Berlinetta was introduced in May 1994, as the first in a successful series of F355 models.
The F355 – referring to the engine capacity (3,495 cc) and the 5 valves per cylinder – was initially only supplied with a manual 6-speed manual transmission.
The atmospheric V8 engine that was fitted in the car pushed output up to a sterling 380 hp, enabling it to achieve speeds of up to 295 km/h.
In 1995, the F355 range was considerably expanded following the introduction of the ‘Spider’, the ‘GTS’ and a ‘Challenge’ series. The latter would become a hardcore version, completely equipped to hit the racing circuit!
From 1997 onwards, the F355 was also equipped with an automatic ‘F1’ transmission, with matching management system, making it the first production car to be enhanced with innovations straight off the Formula One circuit.
In 1999, Ferrari launched a limited production of its Spider model to market, as a ‘Final Edition’, called ‘Serie Fiorano’. This hybrid of the ‘Challenge’ and the Spider had a unique kit:
• Racing brake kit
• Cross-drilled brake discs
• Red calipers
• Suede steering wheel
• Dedication number plaque
• Rear challenge grill
• Carbon fibre interior accents (Console/trim around radio and three gauges above)
• Carbon fibre F1 paddles
• Scuderia windshields
• Fiorano handling package
• Challenge steering rack
• Front/rear challenge roll bar
• Stiffer rate coil springs
• Shock ECU specific to Fiorano setup
Only 104 numbered units were produced, including 100 for the US market, 3 for the European market and just 1 destined for the South African market.

'Collection by Vermant' is extremely proud to offer this 1999 Ferrari F355 F1 ‘Fiorano’ Spider. This is number 94 of the 100 units that were produced for the US. Only 74 of these models were equipped with an automatic transmission and management system, which had been developed for the Formula One world.
Number 94 was delivered on 3 August 1999 in new condition by ‘The Collection’ in Miami to an Englishman who was working for Microsoft in Miami.
In 2014 he returned to the UK, bringing his car with him. He soon set out to find a buyer for the car, as the steering wheel was on the wrong side for the UK. He then bought a new Ferrari.
Since then, this unique Ferrari has 35,500 miles on the odometer. The car is still in exceptional, original racing condition! The car recently underwent a major service. The European registration and vehicle inspection were also recently completed. As a result, the 355 – probably the only Fiorano in Europe – is ready to be registered and taken on the road!
This car comes with a complete vehicle history (Carfax), all the booklets (service booklet, warranty cover booklet, manuals…) and tools, as well as a very rare Schedoni luggage set!
