Description

*FOR SALE* FERRARI F355 SPIDER // EU LHD SPIDER // 6 SPEED MANUAL // ICONIC COLOUR COMBINATION

EQUIPMENT
LHD, German Supplied, 6 Speed Manual, Electric Seats, Electric Hood, Power Windows, Electric Heated Mirrors, Adjustable Sports Suspension, ABS, Sony Radio & CD Player

EXTERIOR
This cherished example is finished in the classic shade of Rosso Corsa which gleams beautifully all around the car accentuating the clean, cohesive styling that helped the 355 earn its title as one of the greatest production sports cars of its time. The paintwork is in fantastic condition and in keeping with the cars age and use, likewise the contrasting black soft-top remains in top order and free from any marks or tears. Lights are clear and free from cracks or marks whilst fitment and finish of surrounds and trim show very well indeed.

The hood arrangement nestles nicely behind the rear seats, attesting to an excellent design that does well not to disrupt the flowing lines of this wonderful convertible.

INTERIOR
Continuing the classic feel of the F355 this example is upholstered in a stunning Nero leather spanning the dashboard, doors and superb sports seats; providing a low slung driving position that provides fantastic support for both driver and passenger. This stunning example shows minimal signs of wear to the vulnerable seat bolsters, whilst the airbag insert retains good fit and appearance. Adding to the sense of occasion is the magnificent open gate gear stick; with its chrome finish it sits pride of place in the centre of the car and is a welcome sight in a modern world of paddle shifters.

Interior switchgear and plastics still retain a matte feel to compliment the fantastic condition of this carefully maintained cabin space.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The major difference between the 348 and 355 was the introduction of a 5-valve cylinder head; a new design allowed for better intake permeability and resulted in an engine that was considerably more powerful. This sublime V8’s flat-plane crankshafts, induction system and exhaust all combine to initially create a purposeful growl of which soon rises to a breathtaking F1-style scream as the revs climb to a heady 8,5k rpm redline.

Paired to a sensational 6-speed manual gearbox the F355 was one of the last truly analogue cars to be produced Ferrari; shifts are well weighted and slick with a mechanical satisfaction that adds a real sense of driver engagement.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The classic 5 spoke Speedline wheels are in unmarked condition wrapped in Bridgestone Expedia S01’s – all of which show plenty of tread.

The brakes perform as they should, with no adverse pitch, pull or drone while the black calipers are free from chips or corrosion.
