Description
The Ferrari 599 GTB 60 F1 Alonso Edition is one of the rarest and most exclusive versions of the iconic 599 GTB Fiorano... 1 of 40 units... Only 1100km. Presented in December 2011, it was created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ferrari's first Formula 1 victory. The tribute unites two historic moments separated by six decades, both occurring at the Silverstone circuit. In 1951, José Froilán González achieved Ferrari's first Formula 1 victory, driving the 375 F1. In 2011, Fernando Alonso won again at Silverstone, precisely 60 years later, driving the Ferrari 150° Italia. To mark this historical coincidence, Ferrari created the exclusive 599 GTB 60F1. Its production is often estimated at only 40 examples worldwide. This rarity makes it significantly more exclusive in terms of production than the standard Ferrari 599. The GTO, limited to 599 units, uses the extraordinary 5,999 cc naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing 620 hp and 608 Nm of torque. This engine derives from the same mechanical family used in the legendary Ferrari Enzo. Unlike the conventional 599 GTB, the Alonso Edition incorporates the HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) sports package as standard. This includes a stiffer and lowered suspension, recalibrated damping, and a more direct throttle response. The six-speed F1 gearbox features faster programming, with shifts that can occur in approximately 80 milliseconds. The exhaust system also has a sportier tuning, enhancing the characteristic sound of the V12. Externally, it is distinguished by exclusive decorations inspired by the Ferrari single-seaters of 1951 and 2011. The most emblematic configuration combines Rosso Scuderia red with white elements inspired by Fernando Alonso's Ferrari. There are also... More understated configurations, including one inspired by the historic Ferrari 375 F1. The 20-inch forged wheels feature a specific finish, developed for this edition. The traditional Scuderia Ferrari badges on the fenders are painted, reinforcing the exclusivity of the finishes. Inside, the inspiration from competition is evident through the use of Alcantara, Alutex and technical materials such as Superfabric. The special sports seats and four-point harnesses accentuate the connection to the Formula 1 universe. One of the most special elements is the commemorative plaque with the signatures of Fernando Alonso and José Froilán González. This plaque symbolizes the connection between Ferrari's first Formula 1 victory and Alonso's triumph 60 years later. Despite its exclusivity, the 60F1 retains the 620 hp of the 599 GTB, not receiving the 670 hp engine of the GTO. Its true differentiation lies in the combination of the HGTE chassis with an aesthetic and historical configuration. Unique. Another interesting aspect is that it was presented in the final production phase of the 599, before the arrival of the Ferrari F12berlinetta. For this reason,This represents one of the last special interpretations of Ferrari's great GT V12 from that generation. Its limited production run and direct association with Fernando Alonso give it particular interest in the world of Ferrari collecting. The authenticity of the original configuration, factory documentation, and state of preservation are fundamental to preserving its value. More than just a special 599 GTB, the 60F1 Alonso Edition represents 60 years of Ferrari's Formula 1 history, brought together in one of its most exclusive V12s.
