The 550 Maranello embodies the quintessential 1960s Ferrari gran turismo experience. A front-mounted, naturally aspirated, 5.5-litre V-12 engine sends it 479 horsepower to the rear wheels via a six-speed, open-gate, manual transmission.

After the squared-off styling and strakes that are so associated with the long-serving Testarossa platform, the 550 Maranello boasted a classically correct smooth Pininfarina design. Born under the leadership of then company chairman Luca di Montezemolo, who insisted that supply should never outstrip demand, fewer than 4,000 were made.

This example is finished in the extremely rare, special-order colour of Grigio Ingrid over a charcoal grey leather interior. It is reported that as few as 36 cars left the factory in this exterior shade, with only 22 of those built to European specification. Per an accompanying CARFAX report, the Ferrari was first registered in October 1999 to a keeper in Valencia, Spain. A previous title records subsequent ownership in the capital city, Madrid, from January 2002.

Located in Barcelona from August 2012, the 550 Maranello remained in Spain through to November 2021. Purchased from Düsseldorf, Germany in 2024 by the consigning owner and subsequently exported to the United Arab Emirates, it benefits from a major service performed in January 2026 by Omega Exotic Auto Services. The corresponding invoice, which is available to view on file, documents oil and filter changes plus the important installation of a new timing belt and water pump in work totalling 27,238 AED.

Supported by its owner’s guides in their leather folio—further to tools, seat covers, spare key, and indoor car cover—the car displayed 59,000 kilometres on its odometer at the time of cataloguing. Owed in no small part to its lesser-spotted Grigio Ingrid hue, this 550 Maranello is sure to pique the interest of Ferrari connoisseurs.
