Description
This particular 550 Maranello was sold new by authorised Ferrari dealer Auto Neuser to a German enthusiast. It was delivered with a striking Nero Daytona exterior, beautifully complemented by a Nero leather interior with Rosso stitching. The car came equipped with desirable options, including Daytona seats, the sought-after Fiorano Handling package, a leather rear shelf with elegant diamond stitching, 19-inch split rims, and black centre hub caps.
The car has always been exceptionally well-maintained, with a single exception the car has been serviced exclusively by Ferrari-authorised workshops, —initially by Auto Neuser in Germany, and later by Autoropa after the car was imported to Sweden.
When the current owner, a Swedish collector and perfectionist, acquired this Ferrari, he sought perfection. He had the car repainted and addressed the common issue of sticky buttons. Additionally, the headlights were completely renovated. Notably, the car is fitted with a Sports exhaust system, although the original system is still intact and included with the sale.
As part of our standard procedure, MOTIKON conducted a full mechanical inspection of this vehicle and found no significant issues.
To conclude the 550 Maranello represents a bridge between the analog and digital worlds. It marked the return of Ferrari’s front-engine, two-seat V12 and is the last Ferrari with a drive-by-cable V12 engine and the last to be designed and developed with a manual gearbox in mind. Once overlooked, prices for the 550 Maranello are quickly rising. A low-mileage example in the same colour as this car recently fetched $368,000 at Gooding & Co's Monterey 2024 auction. Built in only 3,083 examples, the 550 Maranello is now regarded by our team of experts as not only a thrilling sports car but also a sound investment in the collectible Ferrari market.
With a service performed just 500 km ago, we present a fantastic example of one of Ferrari’s all-time greats. The car comes with extensive documentation, including Ferrari literature and service book. A full list of completed work, as well as the vehicle's history, pictures, and videos, can be provided upon serious interest. Do not hesitate to get in touch.
