Italian title
- Great hit as a classic, sports and family car
- Superb colour combination
- Desirable manual gearbox version
- No reserve
- From a Ferrari collector from the South-West
In line with the "family" models 250 GTE, 365 GT 2+2, then 365 GTC/4 and 365 GT4 2+2, from the prancing horse brand, the 400i was marketed in 1980. It is an evolution of the 400 that appeared in 1976 to succeed the 365 GT4 2+2. The "i" meaning the transition to injection, in this case a mechanical Bosch K-Jetronic, very popular at the time. Powered by a 4.8L engine producing 310 hp, the 400i is capable of carrying four passengers at high speed, in the greatest comfort thanks to a spacious and luxuriously finished interior. A total of 1,306 units were produced before the 412, the ultimate evolution of the 400, took over in 1985.
This specific car is a 400i variant fitted with a manual gearbox. It has a Griogio Scuro colour combined with a sand-coloured leather upholstery with matching carpets. The beginning of its life started in Italy, before being registered in 1985 in Rome. In the early 2010s, the engine was rebuilt and a new exhaust was fitted. Our collector from Toulouse acquired it in 2015, since he wanted to complete his collection of GT2 +2 with this version which is not only reliable but also has the advantage of being equipped with a manual gearbox. With a mileage of 78,500 km, a well-thought and refined design and a gorgeous combination of colours, this elegant GT will be sold with its user manual as well as its tools kit.
