The Daimler 2.5 V8/V8-250 is a four-door saloon produced by The Daimler Company Limited in the United Kingdom from 1962 to 1969. It was the first Daimler car based on a Jaguar platform, the first with a unit body and the last with a Daimler engine after the company was purchased by Jaguar Cars from the Birmingham Small Arms Company in 1960. The engine is the semi-circular head V8 designed by Edward Turner and first used in the Daimler SP250 sports car. The V8-250, produced from October 1967 to 1969, was a minor facelift and renaming of the 2.5 V8 sedan and differed in relatively minor details: "Slim" bumpers and over-riders (shared with the Jaguar 240/340, which was rebadged at the same time), an electrical system with negative ground, an alternator instead of a dynamo and double air filters, one for each carburetor. Other new features included an instrument panel trim, quilted door panels and ventilated leather upholstery, adjustable front seats with shared bench and a heated rear window. Power steering and overdrive were optional.

The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us.

Viewing days:

Due to the expected high attendance, you will only be able to visit a viewing day if you purchase an admission ticket. Registration for a viewing day is required. Buy an admission ticket - www.eventix.shop/xmxuc9fs. You can then choose a time slot on one of the viewing days. You must attend within this time slot, but can stay longer if desired.
