Description
The Chrysler 300M is an upper mid-range model that was manufactured from mid-1998 until late summer 2004. It continued the ‘Letter Cars’ series, which had ended back in 1965. The car was originally planned as the Eagle Vision, as there were already some promotional photographs featuring Eagle emblems. The 300M made its official debut at the 1998 North American International Auto Show. After the Chrysler Group had withdrawn the Eagle brand from the market in the spring of 1998 but wished to retain a more compact and sportier alternative to the large saloons on the LH platform in its range, the car went on sale in May 1998 as the Chrysler 300M. In both North America and Europe, the 300M was offered with a 3.5-litre V6 engine driving the front wheels, which initially produced 254 hp in Europe (later 252 hp) and 257 hp in North America. In addition, a version with the 2.7-litre V6 engine producing 203 hp was also available in Europe from 1998 to 2004. This Chrysler 300M, fitted with a 252 hp 3.5-litre V6, was originally delivered in Switzerland and was handed over to its first owner by Emil Frey AG in Münchenstein on 17 February 2000. The owner enjoyed driving his saloon, which featured an automatic gearbox, power steering, air conditioning and leather upholstery with heated front seats, and covered around 100'000 km in it over the next 20 years. In 2020, the 300M was taken over by the current owner, who also enjoyed driving it and ensured it received regular service. In 2025, for example, one of the front wheel hubs was replaced and two new tyres were fitted. In 2026, the Chrysler was fitted with new struts on the front axle, and the engine and power steering were resealed. With just under 131'000 km on the clock and a well-stamped service book, this attractive saloon is in good, well-maintained condition. The most recent MOT took place in December 2025, meaning the 300M can be registered immediately.
