Description

Beautiful Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray 5.7 Automatic Convertible.

• Very extensive history.
• 15-inch rims with polished decorative caps and rings, featuring BF Goodrich tires
• Power steering
• 'Flame Orange' bodywork with a Medium Saddle (vinyl) interior
• M40 Turbo-Hydro-matic automatic transmission

The C3 had a new body and interior, but the chassis and engines were taken over from the C2. The design came from Zora Arkus-Duntov and Bill Mitchell and was also inspired by a prototype, namely the Mako Shark II. The C3 was also available as a convertible and as a coupé. The coupés had a roof panel that could be removed. This was called a T-top.

Replacing the C2 in 1968, production of the C3 and its variants continued until 1982. In the year of manufacture 1975, a total of 38,465 C3s were made, of which only 3,030 in 'Flame Orange'.

This Stingray convertible is in excellent condition. The bodywork was repainted with the 'Flame Orange' lacquer. The car does not have any corrosion / rust and the seams are beautiful.

The colour combination of this C3 is very tasteful, the orange bodywork creates a very nice contrast with the beautiful chrome.

The Stingray was originally supplied new in the USA in July 1975. It has been registered in Germany since 2013 and it has been registered as a classic car with 'H-Zulassung' since 2018.
This C3 without any rust is and in good condition, was partially restored in the past. Resprayed and still in good condition. The sills, fenders, doors and bonnet / engine bonnet fit very nicely.

The very extensive and well-documented history, consisting of a file folder, including the original 'build sticker', the original purchase invoice, many workshop invoices starting from the 1970s, a valuation report and an instruction manual.

Popular options, like the M40 Turbo-Hydro-matic automatic transmission, power steering and the chrome luggage rack complete the picture.

This Corvette is technically in good condition as well. Amongst others this is supported by the Dekra technical assessment report.

This timeless Corvette convertible is ready to be enjoyed.
