• Desirable manual example
• Well maintained owned by the vendor since 2001
The BMW E30 first appeared in 1982 as the successor to the E21 3 Series and has since become one of the marque's most recognisable and collectable models. Combining compact dimensions, crisp styling and entertaining rear-wheel-drive handling, the E30 offered the engineering integrity for which BMW had become renowned. Introduced in 1985, the factory-built Cabriolet was an especially elegant addition to the range. Unlike many contemporary convertibles produced by outside coachbuilders, the E30 Cabriolet was manufactured by BMW and incorporated additional structural reinforcement. In 325i form, it was powered by BMW's celebrated 2.5 litre M20 straight-six engine, producing approximately 168bhp and delivering its performance with characteristic smoothness.
This 1990 BMW 325i Cabriolet is finished in Alpine White with an Anthracite Grey interior and is equipped with the desirable manual transmission. Its classic appearance is complemented by BMW cross-spoke alloy wheels, black exterior trim and a period Blaupunkt stereo. A Laserline alarm system has also been fitted.
Displaying 101,809 miles, this example has enjoyed notably long-term ownership, having remained in the vendor's possession since 2001. We are informed that it has been well maintained and routinely stored indoors during the winter months. A new battery was fitted in July 2026, while the MoT test certificate remains valid until 6th June 2027.
The car is accompanied by four additional alloy wheels and a tailored grey cloth body cover by Specialised Car Covers. It also retains its owner's handbook, original toolkit, warning triangle and first-aid kit. A spare bulb kit and a CTEK smart battery charger are also included, contributing further to the completeness and usability of this increasingly collectable modern classic.
Combining elegant open-top styling, BMW's wonderfully smooth straight-six engine and the involvement of a manual gearbox, this long-owned 325i Cabriolet represents an appealing opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable variants of the celebrated E30 generation. Consigned by Mathew Priddy
