Part of the 02 Series, the BMW 1600 Convertible combines an open-top body built by Baur in Stuttgart with the compact proportions of the sedan. With its four seats, it offers a different way to experience BMWs of this generation.
Delivered new in Paris on October 6, 1969, this example comes with a BMW Classic certificate. Its history can then be traced to the Lot region in 1990, then to the Limoges area starting in 1992, where it had two owners until 2018, when it was acquired by the current owner.
The engine was completely rebuilt shortly after this purchase, as evidenced by an invoice for €8,700. In 2022, the underbody was treated and repainted, and the hollow sections were protected with wax. The car has been regularly maintained, and its most recent technical inspection, as noted in the file, was in 2025.
This four-seat convertible is perfect for group outings, featuring the understated styling and character of late-1960s BMWs.
