Description

This 1929, heavy chassis 4 ½ Litre Bentley was one of 262 originally built on a 10-foot 10-inch chassis frame.

In 1939 the then owner was rejected for national service in WW2, so he re-bodied the car into an ambulance and used it in London throughout the war.

Extensively raced post war, completely rebuilt and upgraded by ourselves in 2020, with no expence spared, to full rally specification.

Having completed the 2022 Sahara Challenge covering 4,500km starting in Malaga and enduring the tracks of Morocco, we can confirm this is a lovely, fast, well-prepared car, perfect for track, road, or rallying.

UU5687 continues to write history being the first vintage Bentley ever to compete, powered by 100% synthetic fuel, racing at the 80th Goodwood Members' Meeting this year.
