In 1959, the Healey 3000 made its debut at the New York Motor Show and left the factory as of March 1959. From the beginning, the 3000 was available in both four-seater (BT7) and two-seater (BN7) versions.

At first glance, not much was changed compared to the 100/6. A 3000 badge was placed on the grille and the boot.

The real changes were inside. In particular, the engine was adjusted. By boring to 2912cc and increasing the compression, the power had increased to 124 HP.

In addition, the 3000 was now equipped with disc brakes on the front wheels.

This ‘early production’ Austin Healey starts instantly and idles nicely. It shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears and brakes properly. In addition, it has had $ 7,000 worth of maintenance in 2016 and 2017. The car has matching numbers and therefore the original engine.

The original interior is still in neat condition as can be seen in the pictures, it is however not in new condition (after all, it is 61 years old).
