The production of this Austin Healey 100/4 was completed in October 1954 and first registered in early 1955. The car has been registered in the Netherlands since 1997 and remained in the possession of this one Dutch owner until 2016. In recent years the latest owner has been a Belgium collector. In the recent past, this specimen was completely restored and overhauled to a very high level.Looking at the car we have on show, it is evident that cost nor effort has not been spared. During the restoration, this "normal" 100/4 was completely modified to "factory" 100 M spec. The original ‘Matching numbers’ engine was equipped with an aluminum cylinder head, a fast camshaft with High ratio tumblers was mounted, high compression pistons and a lighter flywheel complete the whole. Front disc brakes were also mounted as well as power assisted brakes, hydraulic shock absorbers, heavier stabilisation bars and a Hypoid rear axle. Since the restoration, only 500 miles have been driven. It is therefore safe to say that this example remains in almost new condition. The maintenance history has been known since the early 2000 's, only specialists were allowed to maintain this car (Altena classic service, Michiel Capelle, Robelco, etc.) Many invoices confirm the high level of maintenance that this car has had. The restoration is, of course, documented with a report containing many photos, showing that cost nor effort was spared to arrive at this fantastic final result!
