HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
The Audi Quattro, also known to enthusiasts as the Ur Quattro, is regarded as one of the most iconic models in Audi’s history.
This Audi was delivered new in Germany in 1984. In 1998, the car was registered in the Netherlands in Nieuwegein. The first Dutch owner was, at the time, chairman/secretary of the Audi Coupé/Quattro Club. An extensive article about this car appeared in AutoWeek (issue 3-2005). In 2008, the Quattro came into the possession of the previous owner, who owned the car for approximately 15 years. Since its registration in the Netherlands, the car has therefore had only two owners. Unlike many other examples, this particular car has remained exceptionally original. Thanks to its year of manufacture, the Audi is exempt from road tax in the Netherlands. The car can be delivered with a new MOT, ensuring it is fully roadworthy for its next owner.

EXTERIOR
This Audi Quattro is finished in the classic Alpine White. The white paintwork complements the original 15-inch white alloy wheels beautifully. The bodywork is neat and the paintwork is in a well-maintained condition. The plastic parts, lights, windows and rubber seals are also in good condition. What stands out is the original condition of the car, given its age and the care it has been given.

INTERIOR
The interior features the characteristic brown chequered fabric upholstery, which is also in a neat and original condition. The car also features a grey vinyl headliner. The entire interior, including the upholstery and the dashboard, is in a very neat and original condition. The rear seat can accommodate two additional passengers. The boot has space for the spare wheel. A distinctive feature is the digital instrument panel, which displays, amongst other things, the average speed and the estimated number of litres in the fuel tank. The car also features a working Grundig radio and cassette player.

TECHNICAL
Under the bonnet lies the well-known 2,144 cc five-cylinder turbocharged engine with an output of 200 pk. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The engine runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly. The valve stem seals were recently replaced by a Quattro specialist. The permanent four-wheel drive, combined with the turbocharged engine, ensures excellent grip and the characteristic driving experience for which the Quattro is renowned. The Audi features a centre differential and rear differential that can be engaged manually via a pull-out knob on the centre console. Thanks to the invoices on file, the service history is easy to trace. In 2025, a major service was carried out at a cost of approximately €20,000, during which the head gasket, crankshaft bearings, pistons and oil pump were replaced, amongst other things. The engine and gearbox were also overhauled. The alloy wheels are fitted with premium-brand tyres that still have sufficient tread depth. The underside of the car has been dry-ice blasted (see also our extensive photo report). The car drives, brakes and changes gear well. It is fitted with a high-quality Scorpion stainless steel sports exhaust, bearing the original Scorpion marking and date code 7-97. This period-correct sports exhaust gives the five-cylinder engine its characteristic, sporty sound.

GENERAL
The name ‘Ur’ refers to the fact that this is the original Quattro: the first passenger car to successfully introduce four-wheel drive on a large scale. Between 1980 and 1991, only 11,452 Ur Quattros were built.
The combination of permanent four-wheel drive and a turbocharged engine revolutionised rallying in the early 1980s. The Quattro quickly achieved great success and became a legend. The technology was later applied to other Audi models, and the name ‘quattro’ remains inextricably linked to the brand to this day.
A true rally legend and one of the most iconic Audis ever built. Thanks to its complete documentation and recent technical investments, this is an attractive example for enthusiasts or collectors.

GESCHICHTE/DOKUMENTATION
Der Audi Quattro, von Liebhabern auch als „Ur Quattro“ bezeichnet, gilt als eines der ikonischsten Modelle in der Geschichte von Audi.
Dieser Audi wurde 1984 in Deutschland neu ausgeliefert. 1998 wurde das Fahrzeug in Nieuwegein auf ein niederländisches Kennzeichen umgemeldet. Der erste niederländische Besitzer war damals Vorsitzender/Sekretär des Audi Coupé/Quattro Clubs. Über dieses Fahrzeug erschien ein ausführlicher Artikel in der Zeitschrift „AutoWeek“ (Ausgabe 3-2005). Im Jahr 2008 ging der Quattro in den Besitz des Vorbesitzers über, der das Fahrzeug etwa 15 Jahre lang besaß. Seit der Zulassung in den Niederlanden hatte das Fahrzeug somit nur zwei Besitzer. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Exemplaren ist dieses Fahrzeug besonders originalgetreu geblieben. Aufgrund des Baujahres ist der Audi in den Niederlanden von der Kfz-Steuer befreit. Das Fahrzeug kann mit einer neuen APK-Prüfung übergeben werden, sodass es für den nächsten Besitzer vollständig fahrbereit ist.

AUSSEN
Dieser Audi Quattro ist in der klassischen Farbe „Alpine White“ lackiert. Der weiße Lack bildet eine schöne Kombination mit den originalen 15-Zoll-Felgen in Weiß. Die Karosserie präsentiert sich gepflegt und der Lack befindet sich in einem guten Zustand. Auch Kunststoffteile, Beleuchtung, Scheiben und Dichtungen sind in einem einwandfreien Zustand. Auffällig ist der originale Zustand des Fahrzeugs in Verbindung mit seinem Alter und der guten Pflege.

INNENAUSSTATTUNG
Der Innenraum ist mit der charakteristischen braun karierten Stoffpolsterung ausgestattet, die sich ebenfalls in einem gepflegten und originalen Zustand befindet. Außerdem verfügt das Fahrzeug über einen grauen Skai-Dachhimmel. Der gesamte Innenraum, einschließlich der Polsterung und des Armaturenbretts, befindet sich in einem sehr gepflegten und originalen Zustand. Auf der Rückbank finden zwei weitere Personen Platz. Der Kofferraum bietet Platz für das Reserverad. Charakteristisch ist das digitale Armaturenbrett, auf dem unter anderem die Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit und die geschätzte Kraftstoffmenge im Tank angezeigt werden. Außerdem verfügt das Auto über einen funktionierenden Grundig-Radio-Kassettenrekorder.
