Description

"Introduced at the 1988 Birmingham Motor Show, the Virage was Aston Martin’s replacement for the decades old V8 models. The Virage was launched as the top of the range car for Aston Martin. It is easy to see why this handbuilt, all aluminium V8 was king of the Astons. The 32 valve, 5.3 litre engine elevated the performance of the Virage to near sports car level. It was stated by Sports Car International on an early test that 'Acceleration just never seems to run out' and they also praised 'the eager and quicker revving' nature of the engine, with its Callaway designed heads and Weber-Marelli fuel injection. They concluded that 'nothing sounds quite like an Aston V8'.
This handsome Aston Martin Virage presents extremely well in Buckinghamshire Green with Parchment leather interior. This is one of only 426 Virages produced between 1988 and 1995, it was delivered via the Murray Motor Company and was first owned by Mr. F Keenan of Bowden, Manchester. The paperwork file accompanying the car indicates there was minimal usage by the following owners, however there seems to be an error with the odometer (which is a common fault on this model). In 2013, this Virage was considered good enough to be loaned to the Aston Martin Heritage Trust for display purposes and more recently it has been cared for by Retrospective of Banbury, as evidenced by bills on file totalling nearly £5,500. This Virage is presented with a V5C registration document, a valid MoT test certificate and a history file containing various bills. The Virage was produced in such small numbers that this stunning car could prove to be a sound investment."
