Presented at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show, the GTV was the sports car that took up the legacy of the Alfetta GT, which had gone out of production in 1987. The task for this new Alfa Romeo was not an easy one as it had to continue the tradition of the Biscione's popular sports coupés, a true symbol of the brand's sportiness. Designed by Pininfarina in collaboration with the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, the GTV was low, wide and had a distinct wedge shape, underlining its sporty and aggressive character. Although it was built on the floorpan of the more modest Fiat Tipo 2, adopting McPherson suspension at the front and a refined multilink axle at the rear, the GTV turned out to be one of the most successful coupés of the 1990s.

This 1997 GTV 2.0 Twin Spark remained with its original owner until 2019, when it was purchased by the current owner. Never been damaged and still with its set of factory books, it still preserves its original condition.

From new it was fitted with parking sensors and has always been serviced at the Alfa Romeo network. Purchased in 2019 by the current owner, the car has covered approximately 130,000km, believed to be original. The fabric interior is original and has never been changed or replaced.
One of the most sought after Youngtimers these days, this Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 Twin Spark will surely have a revaluation in years to come as one of the future classics to garage.
