- Le début des années 1950 marque une nouvelle ère pour la marque au Biscione avec la production de la Giulietta, animée par un 1 290 cm3 double-arbre en aluminium ; en 1962 apparaît le Spider Giulia 1600 : bien qu’esthétiquement proche de sa sœur ainée, la mécanique est revue avec le montage du moteur 1 570 cm3 de la Giulia TI, plus puissant, souple et fiable que le 1 290 cm3, ainsi que le changement de boîte pour une à 5-rapports synchronisés
- D’après son « Certificato di Origine » Alfa Romeo, cet exemplaire fut vendu neuf en février 1963 par l’importateur Américain dans l’élégante combinaison de couleur de Blu Celeste intérieur noir, qu’elle porte encore aujourd’hui
- Important dossier historique remontant jusqu’en 1974 ! A cette période, cette auto est entre les mains d’un certain K. Holloway, qui s’en séparera en 1981 au profit de P. Schiller, de Sacramento ; cette Giulia est par la suite envoyée en Allemagne, où une importante restauration sera effectuée (dossier photos)
- Aujourd’hui la voiture est dans un très bel état de conservation, traduisant la qualité générale de la restauration et les soins que lui porte son propriétaire actuel depuis 2014 ; son état mécanique est très bon, l’entretien méticuleux prodigué depuis les 10 dernières années est répertorié dans le dossier, avec comme travaux récents le changement des freins à tambours avant pour des disques, ainsi que l’achat d’une capote neuve en alpaga

- The early 1950s marked a new era for the Biscione brand with the production of the Giulietta, powered by a 1,290 cm3 twin-shaft aluminium engine; 1962 saw the appearance of the Spider Giulia 1600: although aesthetically similar to its older sibling, the powertrain was revised with the fitting of the 1,570 cm3 engine from the Giulia TI, which was more powerful, flexible and reliable than the 1,290 cm3, and the gearbox was changed to a 5-speed synchronised gearbox
- According to its Alfa Romeo ‘Certificato di Origine’, this car was sold new in February 1963 by the American importer in the elegant colour combination of Blu Celeste with black interior, which it still wears today
- Important historical file dating back to 1974! At that time, the car was in the hands of a certain K. Holloway, who sold it in 1981 to P. Schiller of Sacramento. The Giulia was then sent to Germany, where it underwent a major restoration (see photo file)
- Today, the car is in a very good state of preservation, reflecting the overall quality of the restoration and the care it has received from its current owner since 2014. Its mechanical condition is very good, and the meticulous maintenance carried out over the last 10 years is documented in the file, with recent work including the replacement of the front drum brakes with discs and the purchase of a new alpaca soft top
