Description

Introduced in 1971 the 750GT was Ducati’s first production motorcycle, styled as a practical grand touring motorcycle it featured Fabio Taglioni's legendary bevel drive 748 cc air-cooled V-twin engine which produced about 50 bhp. With a 5 speed gearbox it delivered smooth, torquey performance and crisp handling that gave a taste of the later more sport focused models that where to come.
This fine example was delivered new to the UK and registered on 3rd Oct. 1974, quite a rare and exotic motorcycle to be seen on the streets of Britain at the time the beautiful Italian styling must have really stood out.
Having been maintained by Ducati specialists over the years the bike has received restoration work and remains in both good cosmetic and running order. Showing 78,000 kms, old MoTs go back to 2007 when it had 71,341 kms.
Supplied with a small history file of bills and the UK V5C logbook it retains its original registration number.
