These 10 Patek Philippes are worth the flight to New York…

Do you find traditional methods of Christmas shopping too time-consuming? On 15 December, Antiquorum will hold a watch auction in the Big Apple comprising no fewer than 255 collector pieces – among which a number of Patek treasures can be found…

The lotlist for the auction held in ‘the Christmas city’ spans offerings from A. Lange & Söhne to Zenith. However, the stars of the show (which takes place at Antiquorum’s Third Avenue HQ) are three stunning Pateks, including a ref. 5016J Tourbillon with minute repeater and perpetual calendar, and a ref. 5213G Minute Repeater in white gold with a retrograde calendar (both estimated at 450,000 to 650,000 USD each). Completing the trio is a ref. 3979G Tourbillon with a black enamelled dial and minute repeater, estimated to achieve between 400,000 and 600,000 USD. Considering these prices, you could view the first-class flights to New York (and a few nights in the Waldorf Astoria) as a necessary expense. We’ve highlighted 10 choice Pateks below but, as usual, you can find the full lotlist in the Classic Driver Market.
