Rotating watch bezels are primarily used to display such information as speed, remaining dive time, pulse frequency or flight duration, depending on the intended application. However, the Little Griddle watch uses the ‘Grill Bezel’ to set optimum cooking time, whether for a simple hamburger or a delicious salmon fillet.

The procedure is simple: place the meat on a pre-heated grill, rotate the bezel anti-clockwise until the silver marker for the desired delicacy is aligned with the minute hand. When it reaches the red marker, it’s either time to turn the meat, or to remove it and tuck in. Although it houses a Seiko quartz movement, the $49 watch was clearly inspired by the Rolex Submariner, and claims to be ‘sauce resistant’. Well, we do like our watches rare…
