The Concorso d’Eleganza Japan 2026 will take place this weekend at the historic Yakushiji Temple in Nara, bringing together some of the world’s most exceptional collector cars in a uniquely serene setting. Set within a UNESCO-listed site, the concours blends Japanese cultural heritage with global automotive excellence, showcasing rare classics and design icons from across eras in a 'moving museum' of automotive history. As an official media partner, Classic Driver will be reporting live from Nara on our Instagram and YouTube channels throughout the weekend, offering on-the-ground coverage of one of Asia’s most distinctive concours events.

Fancy a sneak peek at the Concorso d'Eleganza Japan?

Today marks the technical inspection for this weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Japan —and we’ve already had a first look at some of the countless glorious cars set to star at the concours over the coming days. From Belle Époque automobiles that evoke Studio Ghibli animations like Howl’s Moving Castle to rotary-engined IMSA prototypes and rare “unicorn” supercars, the diversity at Japan’s premier collector car event is, once again, simply breathtaking.

And while we’re hoping for better weather for the main event, don’t these cars look absolutely stunning in the rain?
