As is tradition the show opened with a number of exclusive reveals including Classic Driver favourites the Kimera 037 and Touring Arese RH95. Also on display was the new Everatti electric Porsche 911 and the new McLaren 765LT spider, plus many other premieres.
The central display on the cricket pitch was based around a stunning collection of 12 red cars that included a F40, Pagani Zonda, 250LM, Mercedes-Benz 300SL ‘gullwing’, Porsche 904 Carrera GTS and last year’s concours winner the stunning 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza Zagato Spider.
Classes for the concours included: Jaguar E-Type, Pre-War Sports Class, Pre-War Tourers Class, Fit For A King Class, The Racing Greats Class, Early Pioneers Class, Classics of the Future Class, Pininfarina, Post-War Closed (British) Class, Post-War Open Class. Crowd favourite was certainly the David Piper Ferrari 250 GTO with which Piper was reacquainted on the main stage, sharing with the crowd some fantastic stories.
Around the show a gorgeous ex Monte Carlo rally Aston Martin DB2 caught our eye, the Linder Nöcker ‘low-drag’ E-Type and the three times Le Mans winning Woolf Barnato Bentley 4 ½ litre.
