The first luxury hotel for petrol heads could be built at Bicester

Bicester Heritage, the former RAF bomber site that’s been transformed into the United Kingdom’s first retail park dedicated to the trade, maintenance, restoration, and storage of historic cars, motorcycles, and airplanes, could well receive a new 344-room motoring hotel…

In recent years, Bicester Heritage has established itself as a thriving automotive resort, encompassing a wide array of specialists, media outlets, and events for both historic and contemporary vehicles. And now its expansion is poised to continue further with the addition of a 344-room hotel designed by Dexter Moren specifically for motoring enthusiasts, pending planning permission approval. The building will be situated beside Bicester’s airfield test-track and a Mille Miglia-style starting ramp, and will feature a four-story atrium optimised for the display of automotive-themed exhibitions. And you shouldn’t be concerned about the contemporary building looking out of place on the historic site – it will be built from materials inspired by the current buildings and feature numerous design nods to the site’s military history.
