The perfect-spec Porsche 911 Turbo does not exis….

Looking for the most perfectly-specced Porsche 911 from the 1990s? This Italian 964 Turbo painted in Satin Black Metallic over a Sherwood Green full leather interior is certainly a contender.

It’s not a secret that Classic Driver has a thing for elegant, unusually configurated sports cars from the 1980s and 1990s, especially if they come with a green leather interior. Now our friends from Broad Arrow Private Sales have listed a 1992 Porsche 911 Turbo in the Classic Driver Market that basically ticks all boxes. Influenced by the mythical Porsche 959 supercar, the 964-generation Porsche 911 Turbo set a new benchmark for high-performance Autobahn stormers when it was introduced in 1990. And while the 320 horsepower, 3.3 litre turbo engine (which was later replaced by a more powerful 3.6 litre engine) might seem modest from today’s point of view, the car’s styling is nothing less than timeless – especially when painted in a subtle shade like Satin Black Metallic.

What makes this 1992 car even more unusual is the full leather interior: Italians usually spec their cars better than anyone else – and the buyer of this particular Turbo had checked the order form in exactly the right places when he commission the cockpit of his car to be leathered in Sherwood Green with matching seat covers, door panels, dashboard, center console, shifter, handbrake and carpets. Including the optional paint and interior, the Turbo's base price was additionally supplemented with extras including an electric sliding sunroof and a top-tinted windscreen. After being originally sold in Genova, it spent most of its life in long-term Italian ownership between four owners (a prominent Italian fashion designer among them), before returning to Germany in 2015. With matching numbers and 93,153 kilometres in the clock, this perfect Turbo is now waiting for a new, discerning owner.
