Ferrari auction for families of earthquake victims

An international, online auction is being organised by Ferrari to raise funds for the families of the victims of the earthquakes that have rocked the Emilia-Romagna region.

When the auction goes live – potentially this coming week – a dedicated section on www.ferraristore.com aims to contribute significant sums to those families who have lost loved ones, with a sale that includes a 599XX Evoluzione, the extreme, non-homologated sports car with a commercial price tag of 1.3 million euros. The 599XX Evo features a package of outstanding technical features that support Ferrari’s track-based research and development programme for the 2012-2013 seasons.

Also up for grabs are many F1-themed items, from a V8 engine through to racing suits and helmets donated by the Scuderia’s drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa – plus a range of Prancing Horse watches.
