Vacheron & Constantin a Geneve, Quarter-Repeater, No.
5549. Made circa 1830.
Fine and rare, quarter-repeating yellow gold pocket
watch with cylinder escapement.
Three-body, "bassine pince", the bezels, pendant and
bow chased with floral decoration, the back engraved
with flowers. Gold cuvette engraved technical details
with 2 apertures for winding and setting.
White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer
minute track. Blue steel Breguet hands.
15''', frosted gilt, cylinder escapement with steel
escape wheel, three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat
balance spring. Repeating on gongs by pushing the
button in the bow.
